Background & Job Description

This job post is presented for informational and application purposes by our platform. We are an independent job board and are not affiliated with the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). All information is sourced from the official ICCT vacancy announcement.

The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is an independent, non-profit research organization that provides technical and scientific analysis to environmental regulators and policymakers. Its mission is to dramatically improve the environmental performance and energy efficiency of road, marine, and air transportation to benefit public health and mitigate climate change. With a team of experts across offices in Washington D.C., San Francisco, Berlin, Beijing, and São Paulo, ICCT’s work is widely cited and respected for its impartiality and scientific rigor.

The Beijing office plays a critical role in ICCT’s global efforts, particularly in engaging with one of the world’s largest and most influential transportation markets. To support its financial operations, the Beijing office is offering a Finance Internship designed to provide a comprehensive, practical introduction to the financial workings of an international non-profit. This is not a remote role; it is a hybrid position that requires a physical presence in the Beijing office for at least two days per week, fostering direct mentorship and collaboration.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Specialist, the intern will be integrated into the day-to-day financial activities, gaining exposure to accounting processes, compliance, and cross-departmental collaboration. This role is an excellent stepping stone for a student seeking to build a robust foundation in finance within a mission-driven, global context.
