About the Project
This UNDP-UNFPA Joint Programme strengthens social cohesion and peace in 13 Moldovan communities (10 right-bank, 3 left-bank Nistru River) by:
- Empowering youth, women, older adults, refugees, and marginalized groups.
- Facilitating dialogue platforms and conflict-sensitive initiatives.
- Deploying the Social Tension Monitoring Mechanism (STMM) to track community tensions.
Internship Goals
- Support research, data collection, and outreach for peacebuilding efforts.
- Gain practical UN experience in governance and community engagement.
- Promote diversity and inclusion in Moldova’s labor market.

Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Research & Knowledge Support
- Assist in drafting research notes and STMM background materials.
- Compile press clippings and community engagement data.
2. Communications & Outreach
- Translate/edit content (Romanian ↔ Russian ↔ English).
- Track social media analytics to improve outreach strategies.
3. Administrative Coordination
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas/minutes, and manage contact databases.
- Support logistics for trainings, travel, and inventory.
4. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
- Organize training feedback forms and participant data.
- Assist local NGOs in e-monitoring and data storage.
Qualifications
Education & Eligibility
- Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a bachelor’s/master’s program (social sciences, development studies, etc.).
- OR participating in a postgraduate traineeship.
Skills & Competencies
✔ Languages: Fluent in Romanian or Russian; English (B1+) preferred.
✔ Technical: Basic MS Office (Excel, PPT); familiarity with social media tools.
✔ Soft Skills:
