Background & Job Description

We are sharing an excellent entry-level opportunity with World Vision International, one of the world’s largest Christian humanitarian organizations. World Vision is dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to tackle the root causes of poverty and injustice.

The U.S.-Based Paid Internship Program is a structured, cohort-based initiative designed to cultivate the next generation of humanitarian leaders. This program is fully remote, allowing interns from across the United States to contribute to World Vision’s mission without relocating. Interns are placed within various departments—such as Global Health, Communications, Finance, or Grant Management—where they are integrated into teams and assigned meaningful, real-world projects.

This is a three-month program that balances hands-on work with professional development. It provides a unique gateway for students and recent graduates to gain substantive experience in the nonprofit sector, build a professional network, and understand the operations of a major international NGO, all from a remote setting.

Tasks and Key Responsibilities

Intern responsibilities will vary by departmental placement but are designed to be substantive and impactful. Common tasks include:

  • Project Support: Assisting with the planning, research, and implementation of team-specific projects, which may include data collection, report writing, or supporting campaign development.
  • Research and Analysis: Conducting targeted research on topics relevant to international development, such as public health initiatives, donor trends, or community engagement strategies.
  • Administrative and Logistical Tasks: Providing support for meetings, preparing presentation materials, and helping to manage project-related documentation and communications.
  • Collaboration and Learning: Actively participating in weekly professional development sessions, virtual networking events, and team meetings to build skills and understand the organization’s broader work.
  • Schedule Management: Collaborating with a designated supervisor to maintain a consistent part-time or full-time schedule (24-40 hours per week) throughout the three-month program.
